This month we proudly announced that Newsome High School appears on U.S. News and World Report’s Best High Schools list. This is a tribute to our talented students and the entire team of teachers and staff who make Newsome High School a great place to learn.
High schools were ranked statewide and nationally, along with a separate category for the best magnet programs. Nine Hillsborough County Public Schools were ranked among the best in the state and nationwide, and four ranked among the best schools with magnet programs.

Newsome High School is ranked 33rd within Florida. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Newsome High School is 79 percent.
