Blue Letter Envelopes
Mark your 2017 calendars now and be ready to reach out to family and friends to request they send a letter or card for your student by April 18th. The Seniors will read these letters and cards at the Senior Breakfast on May 18th. We cannot begin to express how much this means to the graduates!
Seniors, Graduation is closer than you think! Many of you are awaiting decisions from your favorite Colleges and Universities and some of you already know. The PTSA has been there with you throughout all your high school years and we are here now. Each year the PTSA offers the opportunity to receive a scholarship that will provide funds for books, tuition, boarding or simply to provide you with the supplies you may need for your next step in academia.
We are proud of our PTSA student members and want to show them how much they are appreciated. At the end of each quarter, we will hold a drawing for gift cards and gift certificates! Eight names will be drawn from our PTSA student members and the prizes will be delivered to the winners. (Students can only win once per year). No sign up is needed.
Make your Mark with Newsome Courtyard Tiles. The purchase of your tile will help us continue to offer senior scholarships, teacher mini-grants, student and teacher recognition while leaving behind your name in stone. These engraved stone tiles will be placed on the sides of the planters located in the school courtyard for future generations to enjoy. Order online or download the form here.
Teacher Mini Grants
Our teachers often spend their own money to have supplies for their classrooms, for our children. Our teacher mini grant program allows for teachers to apply to have some of these expenses covered. Whether it’s a fee for a guest speaker, an additional white board or a set of specific books, our mini grant committee reviews each application and tries to help every teacher. We support our teachers!
We greatly appreciate all the teachers and staff that work tirelessly to help our children succeed. We think it is important to remind them often how much we appreciate all that they do! With the help of our wonderful volunteers, the PTSA provides meals on conference nights, surprise treats throughout the year and other various displays of appreciation. Find out how you can help today!
