A huge congratulations is in order for the faculty, staff, and PTSA for all the work that you put in to achieve this prestigious state honor! In November, Principal Bruning was notified that Newsome High School had received the 5 Star School Award from the Florida Department of Education.
To qualify for the Five Star Award , a school must have at least a state grade of a C and achieve and excel in the following categories:
- Community/Business Partnership
- Family Involvement
- Volunteers
- Student Community Service
- School Advisory Councils(SAC)
Mrs. Bruning would also like to give a special thanks to Dr. Jones for taking the lead on this task and putting the presentation together!
