Did you know that today’s cars have as many as 30 (or even more – maybe up to 100) computers running as you drive down the road?  Did you know that employment projections suggest there will be a shortage of as many as 100,000 potential hires with computer science/coding experience each year?

Newsome offers AP Computer Science Principles, which aligns with CS0 – a college computer science class for non-computer science majors.  Explore computer science, its impact, problem solving, and even learn to code a program that you can run on your phone.  During 2016-17 (AP CSP’s first year) 87% of Newsome students that took the AP exam scored 3 or higher.  Visit with your guidance counselor to discuss full-year AP CSP to complete your schedule.
