Newsome High School’s very own JROTC Instructor, LTC Maurice Bolduc receives top honor!

You will recall that back in February I asked you to endorse the attached letter from Ms. Carla Bruning recommending LTC Maurice Bolduc for the Cadet Command Senior Army Instructor of the Year for 2017.
I appreciate Ms. Bruning’s strong recommendation of Maurice and your enthusiastic endorsement of that recommendation.
I am extremely pleased to inform you that Maurice was selected as the Cadet Command Senior Army Instructor of the Year. When you consider that there are approximately 1700 Army JROTC programs across the nation, the magnitude of his achievement is quite obvious.
In addition to the attached letter, a packet detailing the accomplishments of the Newsome JROTC program was submitted as a part of the recommendation. I refer to the Newsome JROTC program as the “Gold Standard” for Hillsborough County. That reputation for excellence now extends far beyond Hillsborough County.
Maurice will be recognized for his achievement at the Florida JROTC Instructors Workshop being held in Orlando from 1 – 4 August.
