Newsome High School’s teacher conference night is coming up on February 7th and the PTSA is organizing a hot meal for our awesome teachers. The PTSA will be providing salad and baked potatoes and we are asking for donations of other items to help with the meal. Non-perishables can be dropped off in the front office on the 6th or or the 7th, perishable items the day of. Items dropped off on the 7th should be dropped off by 1:30 except crockpot items which should be dropped off hot between 12:30 and 1:30. We will also need a few volunteers to help with the meal. The Newsome PTSA began a program a few years ago to help recognize Student PTSA Members. Each Quarter, a random drawing will be done to select 8 members to receive a special gift. Second Quarter was sponsored by the Tutoring Club of Valrico, Florida. The 2nd quarter gift includes some yummy candy, pencils and sticky notes. It also includes a $10 gift card to Starbucks and a gift card for 2 free Tutoring hours at Tutoring Club of Valrico.
